The executive agency responsible for setting the standards to be achieved for all driving tests within the United Kingdom.

All qualified instructors must successfully pass the three qualifying examinations and be accepted onto the Approved Driving Instructors (ADI) register.  Those instructors are eligible to display a GREEN octagonal badge on the front windscreen of their vehicles.  Part qualified instructors are licensed to give instruction and authorised to display a RED triangular badge on their vehicles.  Check their status before start of training.
